			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Today marks the day of our new challenge starting here at the Sisterhood! I am so excited about my team &#8211; we are seriously going to kick ass.</p>
<p>I&#8217;ve been in a huge funk lately&#8230; not really into blogging, not really into much of anything. Things are beginning to look up, however, and I am trying to get a better attitude. <img src='http://melissa.shrinkingjeans.net/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p>My starting weight for this challenge is 222 lbs, up from my last weigh-in, but will be taking a nosedive next week.</p>
<p>I&#8217;ve still been exercising -definitely not as much as I should have last week- but when I do, according to my heart rate monitor I really burn those calories! My pants feel looser around the legs, but the scale is slow to budge, like always.

<p>I have a feeling this is not going to be very pretty, folks.</p>
<p>I was doing alright&#8230; and then Saturday came. My husband (who hasn&#8217;t been home in a month!) got to come home from work for a few days and he does the cooking (woot!) when he is home.</p>
<p>Saturday night:  homemade pizza. Sure, he makes me my own special portion of pizza loaded with onions, portabella mushrooms, and green peppers, but there is still the crust and the cheese!</p>
<p>Sunday:  Playoff day. Not good. Homemade subs. Popcorn (with butter). Candy. You get the picture.</p>
<p>And then, to top it all off, I had a Drumstick last night. Not chicken, the awful(ly yummy) ice cream variety.</p>
<p>On the plus side&#8230; he and I played racquetball at the gym yesterday. Wonderful exercise. I came away with a <a href="http://www.dailymile.com/people/MelissaA2" target="_blank">contact-injury again</a>.</p>
<p>I signed up for <a href="http://fitbloggin.com/about/" target="_blank">FitBloggin</a>&#8230; now I just need to figure out a way to get to Baltimore!!</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>This week&#8217;s Monday Project is to think of five reasons why we kick ass. I can think of about 10 million and one things about myself that I want to change, but of course, like most people, struggle with the positive side of things.</p>
<p>So, TA-DA! Five reasons why I rock&#8230;</p>
<p>#1 &#8211; I&#8217;m fun. I am a complete and total dork and I know it. I like to laugh!</p>
<p>#2 &#8211; I completed a 1/2 marathon and now I&#8217;m doing another one. Did I mention all the money I am raising for charity? That rocks.</p>
<p>#3 &#8211; I run a household with 4 (for the most part) happy children while my husband is gone for weeks and weeks at a time.</p>
<p>#4 &#8211; I have an adventurous, restless spirit. Some people may not think this is a good thing, but I do. I love to experience new things and want to teach my children to dream big and never settle.</p>
