True Confessions – Melissa

1. I did my Shred before going out of town on Friday.

2. I packed my DVD and dumbbells.

3. Unfortunately, I did not unpack them once I got to the hotel.

4. Yup. Pretty much took the weekend off.

5. I’m okay with that.

6. I have been having horrible, terrible, sciatic nerve pain in my left/hip and leg. It really sucks.

7. My arm muscles are getting quite buff. Seriously. Like, way bigger than when I was lifting weights 3x per week before the Shred!

8. I flex. A lot.

9. I did well with my eating. Until Saturday. But I am back to doing well again.

10. I think I will stay on Level 2 of the Shred for a few more days, then move on to Level 3.

    my pain in that parts of the body is really bad you should have an appointment with a chiropractic for further info about what to do with it
  • I did Level 3 Day 2 tonight...and I absolutely am gonna have to find a way to do those stupid sit ups. I couldn't even do 1 of them tonight! Everything else (following Anita) I did pretty good on. I can definitely feel my legs crying out in pain, and since I'm using 3 pound weights my arms are feeling it a little more. I'm so glad ya'll challenged me to do this, cuz I know I would never have pushed myself this hard without your support!

    Way to go, Ann!!! Those sit ups where a real killer for me too! I just did
    Level 3 for the first time today, and I'm feeling it! I do like it though,
    but I probably won't in a couple of days ;)

  • That really sucks about your leg and hip hurting! Don't overdo it! We can't have you totally injured!!

    I was bad this weekend too. But I've done well today!

    I'm staying on level 2 for a few more days as well. I had to take a couple of days off due to injury. I actually like level 2 better than level 1. I haven't peeked ahead to level 3 yet. Good luck with your sciatic nerve pain. Hope things are going better for you.
  • Oooh! Busted girl! Although, I totally understand. If you decided to not bring the DVD and the weights there would have been lots of time for you to be able to shred...and you would have been motivated to do so. But, get back on that horse and keep shredding away. Honestly, my shoulder blades and my hips have been bugging me with level 2. I've been doing significantly less effort on the things that hurt the most. And it's not a good hurt, so I know I need to take it easy. All that hip work on level 2 is probably doing you in. Take it a little easier but keep plugging away at it.
