Hello!

November 26th, 2008 | Comments | Posted in Melissa |

I know, I know… I am a little late with the introduction post. My husband and I took a quick (kid-less!) trip to San Diego. It was a blast, but now it’s back to work. Time to focus.

I have been struggling with my weight for years. Like so many other women, I used my pregnancies as excuses to eat anything and EVERYTHING and then was flabbergasted when the weight didn’t just fall off when the baby came out. I had my last babies five years ago and am so, so tired of being fat.

The twins started kindergarten in the fall and I have been a regular at the gym since. I have become good friends (frenemies?) with the elliptical machine and arc trainer. I can feel my muscles getting bigger, but they are still covered by the chub. I haven’t been doing as well as I would like with my eating, but that is about to change. I am doing WW online and am going to re-commit to counting and tracking my points.

I am so excited to have found such a wonderful group of people to help me out on this journey. I hope you will give me encouragement when I need it and I hope that you don’t hesitate to chew my butt when you think I deserve it. I will post my weight (ack!) on a separate page once I step on the scale today!

Let’s get this party started!

I had to laugh at your line about using pregnancy to eat whatever and being shocked when the weight didn't just fall off immediately- that was TOTALLY me last year! My daughter is 20 months tomorrow, and while I have lost the pregnancy weight (yay!) I still have about 10 pounds that I gained before I got pregnant. WW worked so well last year, but then I slipped into my bad habits during the past few months... signed up for WW again yesterday, so we'll see how it goes! Today was kind of a wash with Thanksgiving (though I did MUCH better than I usually do!) but tomorrow is a new day! WE CAN DO THIS!
  • Welcome home and welcome back to the world of counting points! You'll do great. You already inspire me to work out!
  • Good for you for getting back to the gym! That's awesome!

  • We're so glad you're here with us Melissa!! That chub will be gone in to time ;)
