GO PURPLE!
Down two pounds! Read about it here: http://www.whooosthatgirl.com/2009/06/weekly-report.html
I am so proud of my team Purple for landing in the top 3 of the leaderboard this week! Woo-hoo! I hope everyone is enjoying their teams as much as I am, I couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful group of women!
My hubby and I did the 2 1/2-mile loop around our neighborhood development this morning. We mostly walked and had two short spurts of jogging. It was painful, but it felt good to do and even better to stretch when we got home!
I am doing a 5K in a week and had high hopes of running the whole thing. Obviously, unless an extreme miracle happens, I will be signing up to walk. Maybe I will get my “running” 5K in later this summer.
My weigh-in for the week: -0.6 lbs.
Not too impressive, but it’s down and going in the right direction at least. I have been super stressed-out and I am sure this has had a huge effect on me. I know that I need to focus and get back to exercising regularly. I KNOW THIS.
Time to put it in action.
Next week, expect big things from me.
Can you help a Sister out? I have a favor to ask of you for my twins’ upcoming birthday! I will love you forever. Read more here.
My husband’s parents came and picked the kids up for the afternoon, so it was the perfect time for me to get my fat ass back to the gym. Can I tell you how much I hate midday gym workouts??
It felt good to be back (sort of), I just need to figure out a way to get there in the mornings again, with the four rugrats tailing behind.
Today, I did 25 minutes on the Precor AMT and 20 on the Precor EFX, along with a half hour of arm/ab weights. Not bad for barely exercising the past month! My leg/ass pain was persistent, but bearable.
I love how exercise makes me feel, so why is it SO HARD to “get there”??
1. I have been doing horrible with my eating and exercise.
2. This injury in my ass is really a pain in the ass. My muscle is spasming every time I go from sitting to standing. I have tried a few different things to help, only it hasn’t helped.
3. I don’t know how I am going to get to the gym this summer with my four kids.
4. How do I get to the gym with my four kids????? How do YOU do it?!
5. I drank way, way, way too much Saturday night and stayed up way too late. Then of course, had to get up way too early! I wonder why the twins still feel the need to get up before 7 even though there is no school?
6. I had good intentions of grabbing my husband and the kids and going to the Y this morning, yet here I sit blogging.
7. I am super-excited for our new Team Challenge. I am quite sure my team rocks! Go PURPLE! This is just what I need to get back on track!!
Just checking in! It’s been awhile since I have posted on my personal blog! I have been down for the count lately! Seems like I have been sick for ages now -took antibiotics last week, but they didn’t work. I guess I need to try something else. Remember my injury mid-Shred? Well, it is still bothering me. Dr. Google and I are thinking that it is probably this. I would bet money on it.
Now, you are probably wondering if I am participating in Shred the Second. Truth betold, I have not started yet. I think I will wait a few more days at least. I pretty much ceased all exercise the last few weeks, but yesterday walked about 2 miles, and today, I got back to the gym and did 2.25 miles and weights. Baby steps!
I am excited to see all the newbies, as well as the repeat offenders (thanks, Amanda!). I am cheering you on ALL THE WAY!
1. I did my Shred before going out of town on Friday.
2. I packed my DVD and dumbbells.
3. Unfortunately, I did not unpack them once I got to the hotel.
4. Yup. Pretty much took the weekend off.
5. I’m okay with that.
6. I have been having horrible, terrible, sciatic nerve pain in my left/hip and leg. It really sucks.
7. My arm muscles are getting quite buff. Seriously. Like, way bigger than when I was lifting weights 3x per week before the Shred!
8. I flex. A lot.
9. I did well with my eating. Until Saturday. But I am back to doing well again.
10. I think I will stay on Level 2 of the Shred for a few more days, then move on to Level 3.
Just a quick note–
I am taking what I love to call a “mental health weekend”. I am out-of-town until Sunday, but still have my trusty laptop with. However, please forgive me if I don’t get back to you right away! I am excited to see we have lots of new people ready to join us! I will get back to ALL OF YOU personally by Monday, I promise!
Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!
XOXO
